WWII Military Hobo Crossbody
WWII Military Hobo Crossbody
This one-of-a-kind bag is made from a very special vintage WWII military duffle bag that still bear some markings from the original piece. The original canvas is from 1944 and lots of parts of the original bag was incorporated into the design. The original owner of this bag is a gentleman named Elmer Gross. He proudly served our country earning medals of honor & also being part of the famous landings at both Normandy & Omaha beach. He later went on to become the head coach from 1949-1954 for the Nittany Lions at Penn State. The history of this bag is really off the charts.
The bottom of the bag is the original bottom of the duffle bag which lends it the slouchy, hobo style feel. The 2 generous leather pockets are perfect for stashing your essentials. The handle attachments are reinforced with Italian suede for extra strength . The fully removable cross body strap is made from hand-cut + finished black belting leather & the original webbing & hardware from the bag. The top zips securely closed. The bag is fully lined with ticking canvas and there are three more pockets to keep track of loose treasures. Our signature cross detail is hand-embroidered on the front corner for just the perfect detail. This is a very special piece of American history that's equally comfortable for travel or for everyday.
