WWII 1944 Elmer Crossbody Tote
WWII 1944 Elmer Crossbody Tote
This sweet bag honors a really special piece of American military history that can’t be duplicated. It has been repurposed from a WWII military duffle bag and lots of parts of the original bag was incorporated into the design. The original owner of this bag is a gentleman named Elmer Gross. He proudly served our country earning medals of honor & also being part of the famous landings at both Normandy & Omaha beach. He later went on to become the head coach from 1949-1954 for the Nittany Lions at Penn State. The history of this bag is really off the charts.
The front patch pocket has been constructed with the same duffle and will keep all essentials close at hand. There are 2 additional pockets on the back. A leather signature cross is patched on the back for a perfect detail. The detachable crossbody strap is made from hand-cut + finished belting leather and will soften and patina with wear. The inside is fully lined with ticking canvas and there are two additional pockets for keeping you organized. The top closes with a vintage webbing buckle to keep everything safely inside. A handy leather leash can be used to clip your keys so you can always find them.
