Vintage Boy Scout "Harry" Crossbody
Vintage Boy Scout "Harry" Crossbody
This bag is just awesome. It has been lovingly reconstructed from a vintage Boy Scout backpack and still bears the original National Council seal, as well as the metal grommets and hardware. A name patch just inside the front pocket sports the name of the original owner (though Harry clearly tried to scratch it out, we can still glimpse the history). The reinforced bottom and fully separating top zipper are made from back veg-tanned leather that has been extensively hand-processed to give it a lived-in look and feel that pairs beautifully with the vintage bag. The tote handles are made with a combination of black nylon webbing and saddle leather that will soften with wear. The crossbody strap is made from a vintage linen firehose that has been deemed the most comfortable on your shoulders no matter what you tote around. The generous back pocket is also part of the original pack and keep essentials close at hand. The inside is fully lined with ticking canvas and has two additional pockets for keeping organized. This is a truly one-of-a-kind bag that proudly carries on a bit of American history.
