After painting the tips if so many leather handles & clutch tabs I thought it was time to apply the same concept to the leather bracelet. To make it more interesting, I also added a small contrast embroidered cross stitch. I’ve been wearing a silver tipped one with a red “X” amongst other contrasting wraps on my wrist. Snazzy! The closures are the antique shirt studs of course.
It’s the way you write your name or the way you put little details consistently on a product that makes people think of you. It’s a special mark that is repeated over & over until it is recognized as your brand without ever seeing a label. When I first started making bags for myself I came up with the painted tip. For me, it can take a very neutral color story & suddenly turn it into something much more interesting. I like that it’s not too serious & can be used in many different ways. Straps, tabs, bracelets…… the fun part is coming up with new applications. There is nothing more fun than having someone notice a bag you did because of those little shots of color.
