After making the rope bracelets I thought a little gift bag would go very nicely.  I carved out a rubber block of the braid pattern to make a stamp.  I printed it on the front of a light weight bag that I quickly sewed up.  It then occured to me that it would be really easy to make a stamp of my label. Now it looks finished.

Last week I posted about the Braided Rope Bracelet cuff. Since then I have spent most of the time making them for friends & friends of friends….. I couldn’t be happier! In the mean time another style developed which can look like a bunch of rope bangles. I’m liking the solid colors but find that with this design it also looks good with a contrast color zipping through the middle.  At the moment I’m particularly drawn to the gray & yellow combinations. Which color is your favorite?

There was a post a while ago here about small wrap bracelets using the parachute cord & nylon ropes which was so fun & looked like a bunch of candy on your wrist- Perfect for summer.  Since I figured out a couple of years ago how to make Turks Head bracelets for my kids I thought we could apply the concept with the same cording.  Because the nylon doesn’t have stretch I devised a cuff type style that is finished off with leather on the ends. I have a couple different closures but I think the S-biner is the best. It keeps with the feeling of the sporty materials.   I think this will be the staple summer bracelet

More styles are in the working- Stay tuned!
